Why We Work Safe

Monday, October 16th, 2017

A culture of safety is an intangible value of Egan Company – every project, every employee, every day. To remain safe every day takes hard work and commitment, so what is it that motivates Egan employees to work safe? Though there are A LOT of reasons, throughout the month of September employees submitted photos for our annual “Why We Work Safe” contest to tell us why they personally work safe.

From family and vacations, to pets and cool hobbies, employees shared why going home safe every day is their priority. Check out 288 reasons “Why We Work Safe”!

Slow Down — Work Zone Ahead

Tuesday, April 11th, 2017

Spring has finally arrived and summer is just around the corner, which means one thing in Minnesota — orange cones and construction detours. As road crews hit the pavement, it’s important to remember that work zone safety is in YOUR hands.

This year, for National Work Zone Awareness Week (April 2-8), we asked some of Egan’s road field leaders to give first-hand insight, tips, and advice on how to drive safe in construction work zones.

Remembering Craig and Ron – Five Years Later

Thursday, October 13th, 2016

RonAndCraig_FiveYears_smallerToday marks five years since we lost Craig Carlson and Ron Rajkowski on a highway worksite. They were struck and killed by an inattentive driver in October 2011.

Craig and Ron’s legacy is their families, our memories, and the new worksite safety legislation their tragic story helped to get enacted. At Egan, we are dedicated to ensuring all jobsites are safe – for all Minnesota workers. We are continually improving our safety program by staying up-to-date with new safety measures and by utilizing your many suggestions and ideas.

Our goal is for everyone to go home at the end of the day to their loved ones. As we remember Craig and Ron and their families, let’s continue our commitment and efforts to always stay safe.

Please keep their families in your thoughts and prayers on this difficult day.
