2024 Awards and Recognition

As we close out 2024, we’re taking a look back on what a successful year it’s been. The hard work and dedication of all our teams at Egan Company paid off, resulting in a number of awards and recognitions. Minnesota’s Largest Private Companies

Engineering-News Record (ENR) Top 600 Contractors in the U.S.

For the second year in a row, Engineering-News Record (ENR) listed Egan as #141 in their annual Top 600 Contractors list. In addition, our Fire Alarm & Life Safety team was recognized at #19 of the Top 20 Firms in the Fire Protection and Sprinklers category. View ENR’s list of the top 600 contractors in the U.S.

Finance & Commerce Reader Rankings 

The annual Finance & Commerce Reader Rankings is a list curated by readers who select the brands and businesses they trust most. This is the eighth year Egan has made this list, and we are honored to earn a spot on a list chosen by you. Every year, the Minnesota Safety Council recognizes top organizations who display excellence in occupational injury prevention. We are proud to have our safety efforts recognized across our Automation, Technology, and Service, Mechanical, Industrial Controls, and Electrical Special Projects teams.

Finance & Commerce Top Projects of 2023

The top projects of the year are awarded by Finance & Commerce annually. For projects completed in 2023, Egan was recognized for our work done on Essentia Health in Duluth, Minn. Read more about the top projects of 2023.

CHASE Safety Award

Continuing with our strong safety initiatives, our team was recognized for our comprehensive safety program from the CHASE program, hosted by Minnesota OSHA and AGC of Minnesota. The goal of CHASE is to promote safety programs and performance in the workplace among contractors. This is the second year Egan has been a part of CHASE and has been recognized with an award.

ENR Top 600 Specialty Contractors

Egan has been ranked on the Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 600 Specialty Contractors for many years, but this year not only was Egan honored as a Specialty Contractor, but also within the Top 20 Glazing and Curtainwall firms. Our InterClad team was recognized as #11 on the Top 20 Firms in Glazing and Curtainwall and as a whole Egan Company was recognized as #114 on the 2021 Top 600 Specialty Contractor list.

Recapping Recent Recognition and Awards

Exceptional Service is Recognized by JFCS

Thursday, May 17th, 2018

The Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis (JFCS) has recognized Egan with an award for exceptional service for work on the JFCS office building that was completed in March. Egan was part of the project team that remodeled the interior and exterior of it’s existing building in Golden Valley, Minn.

Judy Halper, JFCS CEO, presented Egan with the award at the building’s ribbon cutting ceremony on May 8. “There are so many who were critical to bringing this vision of JFCS and The Stillman Family Foundation to life, including Egan. After so much hard work, we want to acknowledge Egan with an award for service.” – Judy Halper

The service award acknowledges the hard work of Egan teams: electrical and mechanical, technology systems, and building automation. Project managers include Carrie Thompson, Tom Buirge, Tim Johnson, and Dane Grunerud. Field leaders include Joe Baumgartner, Tom Rodrigues, Chris Nelson, Matt Snyder, and Eric Oja.

PrairieCare Awarded Top Project Honors

Wednesday, August 31st, 2016

PrairieCare Patient Care Station1a

PrairieCare opened a new location in Brooklyn Park in September 2015, filling a need for pediatric mental health care in Minnesota’s North Metro. The building is a cheerful example of modern design – with calming rooms, living quarters, and treatment and office spaces.

Egan Company was given a Design/Build role to install a vast network of communications, lighting, security, and power systems throughout the facility.  This integration of form and function made PrairieCare – Brooklyn Park one of Finance & Commerce’s Top Projects of 2015. Congratulations to PrairieCare and RJ Ryan Construction on this achievement!
