- Originally built in 1929, the historic Northrop Auditorium at the University of Minnesota is one of Minnesota’s most iconic and recognizable buildings.
- A complete renovation and expansion of the auditorium began in 2011.
- Historical elements were preserved, including historic Memorial Hall.
- Egan helped to renovate the main auditorium and provided electrical systems to a new high-tech lecture/recital hall, new study spaces for the University Honors program and the Institute for Advanced Study, conference spaces, seminar rooms, cafe and dining areas, and other multi-purpose spaces.
