- The City of Minneapolis upgraded its water treatment facility in Fridley, Minn. that provides water to approximately half a million residents in Minneapolis, Fridley, and Brooklyn Park.
- Egan Company’s Electrical Special Projects team provided their expertise for the renovations to Pump Stations 3 and 5, including new electrical services, duct bank, Medium Voltage expertise, cable trays, and underground conduit.
- Conduit, devices, wiring, terminations, and integration for the controls of the pump station #5 and the generator control system were completed by Egan’s Industrial Controls team.
- Wire labels for the controls system were done in Egan’s UL 508A panel shop.
- Electrical services and infrastructure were moved from a flood plain by the river to flood-resistant higher ground.
- New 6-ton cooling rooftop units with duct-mounted steam coils were installed by Egan’s Mechanical team, in addition to new steam unit heaters, a battery room exhaust fan, and a 3-ton split heat pump system.
- The facility can treat up to 135 million gallons of water per day.
