Project completed in June 2022. // The team put in over 10,000 man hours without any lost time injuries or near misses. // Between the interior underground and exterior there was approximately 15,000 feet of buried PVC conduit.

Egan crews provided their expertise to the Longfellow Elementary School in Rochester, Minn.
This new construction of Longfellow Elementary School District provides the Rochester Area School District with 100,000 square feet containing 48 classrooms, media center, cafeteria, kitchen, and gymnasium.
The scope of work included installation for the new school from ground up, grounding, new distribution, LED lighting, and nLight lighting controls.
The Egan team installed 1600amp service, 2 emergency inverters, 7 transformers and 25 panelboards. The project also included standard electrical branch circuit install, and full fire alarm and lighting control systems.
All of the in-wall assemblies for classrooms and common areas spaces were prefabricated in Egan’s shop, allowing two employees to rough-in the entire building in just over seven weeks. Prefabrication was also used for block wall assemblies, precast assemblies, rebar cages for pole lights, ceiling devices for the fire alarm, nLight devices, nLight bridge boards, room kitting, and daisy-chaining all of our light fixtures together.
BIM was utilized for larger conduits – by designing and manufacturing remotely and shipping to the site, the install time was cut nearly in half.
Egan’s Outdoor group installed all of the exterior work including the RPU primary, secondary into the building, pouring the transformer pad, 34 light poles, and traffic signal system.
