Electrical // Mechanical // Building Technology and Systems Integration
- Egan’s team of mechanical, electrical, and control system experts partnered with Wolf Material Handling Systems to come up with an innovative idea that incorporated two of Egan’s strengths: safety and prefabrication.
- Decommissioned shipping containers were utilized to create two self-contained utility rooms while providing the energy client with a power distribution center (PDC), a motor control center (MCC), and a large air compressor.
- Because the utility rooms were self-contained, equipment was insulated from any damaging materials that might be encountered at the customer’s facility, a major priority for the customer.
- All work was completed within Egan’s facility on a fast-tracked schedule of about two months upon the arrival of the containers, and then shipped to the customer when finished and ready for installation.
- Features like fire alarm, air-conditioning, and LED lighting were also included.
