Egan appoints two new board members

June 22, 2011

Minneapolis, MN (June 22, 2011) – Jim Malecha, Egan Company President & CEO, is pleased to announce that long time employees Jim Paul and Tim Woolworth have been named to the Egan Company Board of Directors.

“These two men possess deep experience, proven leadership skills, and a real passion for our business,” said Malecha. He also cited a vibrant energy along with a positive, “can do” attitude as strengths they bring to the board room table.

Jim Paul, who joined Egan in 1993, and had been running the company’s Service Group for the past seven years, will be taking over as Executive Vice President of the Mechanical Group on July 1, replacing Bill Marshall who is retiring.

Tim Woolworth, a 30-year glass veteran, joined Egan in 2003 and is the Vice President of InterClad, Egan’s curtainwall, glass and architectural metal company.

With a history dating back to 1945, Egan is one of the largest specialty contractors in the United States, employing approximately 600 people, and representing 18 trade unions in Minnesota. The company offers mechanical, electrical, plumbing, automation systems, controls, fire/life/safety, and curtainwall/glass construction and services. The Central Corridor Light Rail construction and Northrop Hall renovation projects are two current, highly watched, large scale construction projects where Egan is deeply involved.
