Complete mechanical and electrical services and curtainwall, metal panels, curtainwall with patterned glass, storefront, aluminum doors

  • Connecting the Minneapolis 901 Ameriprise Financial Client Service Center building with a parking garage across 9th Street is a skyway bridge that was in need of renovation.
  • In collaboration, Egan’s Mechanical, Electrical, and InterClad teams completed multiple trade-specific scope of work simultaneously.
  • The Mechanical team installed six fan coil units, finned tube radiation, an exhaust fan, and connected the chilled water into District Energy’s plant. Additionally, the team connected the heating water system into the Ameriprise building’s system.
  • Egan’s Electrical team installed recessed can lights, exit lights, a wheelchair accessible lift, five power operated doors, and receptacles throughout the skyway bridge. The team also completed the piping for the fire alarm and security system.
  • InterClad’s scope of work included the demolition and reinstallation of a portion of the existing Ameriprise system curtainwall, new skyway curtainwall with patterned glass, storefront, insulated metal wall panels, aluminum doors, and custom interior trim/grills.
  • The skyway geometry presented a challenge for the InterClad team due to it sloping in both elevation and in height creating unique geometry for the framing and glass shapes. Every curtainwall frame on the project is a unique or one-off size.
  • Egan’s Mechanical team also completed a renovation project at the Ameriprise Client Service Center itself. The team installed new duct, pipe and plumbing, a new heat pump, and new VAVs on the second level of the 15-story, 600+ office space building.
