- E.A. Sween Company is a Minnesota-based sandwich company that makes 70 million sandwiches a year and distributes them across the country.
- In a Design/Build role, Egan was tasked by E.A. Sween Company for the complete remodel and expansion to an existing food processing facility in Annandale, Minn.
- Egan's electrical, mechanical, and technology teams were all utilized for this project.
- The wide-ranging scope for the 20,000+ square foot building included: removal and replacement of all underground and above ground plumbing and piping, new lighting and power, security system, a complete front office renovation, quality control lab, chemical storage room, maintenance shop, and ambient temperature storage area.
- Additionally, a new structural steel mezzanine was built in the expansion for a future 2nd floor buildout.
- Egan's shops fabricated some of the electrical components as well as all of the underground plumbing and piping systems.
- With this manufacturing expansion, E.A. Sween’s goal is to double the amount of sandwiches it produces in a year by 2020.
