SPECIALTIES FEATURED WITH THIS PROJECT:
Electrical // Mechanical // Building Technology Integration
- The Jewish Family and Children's Service of Minneapolis utilized Egan's integrated expertise to remodel the interior and exterior of an existing building in Golden Valley, Minn.
- Egan’s electrical scope involved gutting the building leaving only homeruns and various exterior wall outlet locations. The team then replaced all lighting with LED fixtures and upgraded the building’s main service to 2000A.
- This upgrade to the main service included the connection of five new mechanical rooftop units installed by Egan. The team replaced all the existing mechanical systems which included: five rooftop units, ducting distribution, VAV boxes, a new IT room dedicated cooling system, and all plumbing systems.
- A relocation of current transformers and metering outside of the building was also completed by the Egan team.
- Egan designed and installed all HVAC controls. Additionally, a front-end interface for customer operation was also provided.
- BIM modeling/coordination, virtual construction, and prefabrication were utilized for portions of the main ducting distribution given the building's restricted ceiling space.
- Throughout the new facility, Egan also integrated multiple technology systems. The scope included voice/data, security and card access, as well as fire/life safety systems.
