Mechanical
- Faribault Foods, owned by La Costena, a Mexico branded canned food and beverage producer and distributor, expanded its Faribault plant to double the size of its operations.
- The one million square foot facility includes manufacturing, canning, labeling, storage, and distribution functions.
- Egan’s mechanical team installed 13,929 lineal feet of underground process waste piping, sanitary drain waste and vent (DWV), storm piping, and plumbing fixtures at the office support areas. This included over 250 floor drains, hub drains, clean outs, and catch basins.
- The 17 catch basins are the largest stainless steel basins ever manufactured by AWI Manufacturing – each weighing over 1,000 pounds.
- Egan’s BIM and Virtual Construction team modeled all of the under and above ground process, storm systems, and waste and vent piping for the office spaces.
- In addition, Egan prefabricated all of the under and above ground DWV piping, storm systems, and bathroom groups in its fabrication shops.
- Egan also tied existing production line equipment together with 10,500 lineal feet of stainless steel piping for the first phase of production line installation.
